G-induced Loss Of Consciousness
G-induced Loss Of Consciousness occurs when a person experiences a temporary loss of consciousness due to high gravitational forces, or G-forces. This phenomenon is often seen in pilots and astronauts during rapid acceleration or tight turns, where the body is subjected to forces greater than normal gravity.
When exposed to excessive G-forces, blood can pool in the lower body, reducing blood flow to the brain. This can lead to symptoms such as tunnel vision, dizziness, and ultimately, loss of consciousness. Recovery typically happens quickly once the forces decrease, allowing normal blood flow to resume.
