Furutaka
Furutaka was a Japanese heavy cruiser that served in the Imperial Japanese Navy during the 1930s and World War II. Launched in 1925, she was the lead ship of her class and was designed for speed and firepower. Furutaka played a significant role in various naval battles, showcasing the capabilities of Japanese naval engineering at the time.
The cruiser was equipped with eight 203 mm guns and had a displacement of around 10,000 tons. Furutaka participated in several key operations, including the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Midway. She was ultimately sunk in 1942 during the Guadalcanal campaign.
