Frysk
Frysk, or Frisian, is a West Germanic language spoken primarily in the northern province of Fryslân in the Netherlands. It is recognized as an official language alongside Dutch in this region. Frysk has several dialects, with the most widely spoken being West Frisian.
The language has historical roots dating back to the early Middle Ages and is closely related to English and Dutch. Efforts to promote and preserve Frysk include education in schools and media broadcasts, helping to maintain its use among younger generations.
