Friedrich Wilhelm I
Friedrich Wilhelm I, known as the "Soldier King," was the King of Prussia from 1713 until his death in 1740. He was the son of Frederick I and focused on building a strong military and centralizing power. His reign is marked by significant military reforms and the establishment of a disciplined army, which laid the groundwork for Prussia's future military successes.
He was also known for his frugality and austere lifestyle, often rejecting the lavishness of the royal court. Friedrich Wilhelm I promoted education and the arts, but his primary focus remained on strengthening the Prussian state and its military capabilities.
