Freshwater Crocodile
The Freshwater Crocodile, also known as the Johnstone's Crocodile, is a species native to northern Australia and parts of New Guinea. It typically inhabits rivers, lakes, and swamps, preferring freshwater environments. This crocodile is smaller than its saltwater counterpart, usually growing up to 3 meters (10 feet) in length.
Freshwater crocodiles are known for their slender bodies and long snouts, which help them catch fish and other small prey. They are generally less aggressive than saltwater crocodiles and are often seen basking on riverbanks or floating in the water. Their diet mainly consists of fish, crustaceans, and small mammals.
