French National Assembly
The French National Assembly is the lower house of the Parliament of France. It plays a crucial role in the legislative process, where members, known as deputies, propose and vote on laws. The Assembly is composed of 577 representatives elected by the public for five-year terms.
Established during the French Revolution in 1789, the National Assembly has evolved over the years. It works alongside the upper house, the Senate, to create and amend legislation. The Assembly also holds the government accountable, ensuring that elected officials respond to the needs and concerns of the citizens.
