French Communist Party
The French Communist Party (PCF) was founded in 1920 and is one of the oldest communist parties in the world. It emerged from the French Section of the Workers' International and has played a significant role in French politics, especially during the mid-20th century. The party advocates for socialist principles and has historically focused on workers' rights, social justice, and anti-capitalism.
Throughout its history, the PCF has participated in various coalitions and electoral alliances, notably during the post-World War II period when it gained substantial influence. Although its prominence has declined in recent decades, the party continues to be active in advocating for leftist policies and social change in France.
