Free Goods
Free goods are items or resources that are available without any cost to the consumer. These goods are typically abundant and do not require payment because they are not scarce. Examples include air, sunlight, and seawater, which can be accessed freely by anyone.
In economics, free goods contrast with scarce goods, which are limited in supply and require resources to produce. The concept of free goods helps illustrate the difference between resources that are naturally available and those that must be managed or allocated, such as food, water, and energy.
