Frederick II, Duke of Austria
Frederick II, Duke of Austria (1211-1246) was a prominent nobleman in the medieval period. He belonged to the House of Babenberg and served as the Duke of Austria from 1230 until his death. Frederick was known for his efforts to strengthen the power of the duchy and for his involvement in the political affairs of the Holy Roman Empire.
Frederick II was the son of Leopold VI, Duke of Austria and Theodora Angelos. He played a significant role in the conflicts of his time, including the Austrian succession crisis.
