Frederick I of Brandenburg
Frederick I of Brandenburg, also known as Frederick I of Prussia, was a significant figure in German history. Born in 1657, he became the Elector of Brandenburg in 1688 and later crowned King in Prussia in 1701. His reign marked the rise of the Hohenzollern dynasty and the establishment of Prussia as a major European power.
Frederick I was known for his efforts to modernize his territories, promoting arts and education. He built the Berlin Palace and supported the development of Berlin as a cultural center. His leadership laid the groundwork for the future expansion of the Prussian state.
