Frederick Hoyle
Frederick Hoyle was a British astronomer and cosmologist, born on June 24, 1915. He is best known for his work on the Big Bang theory and for coining the term "Big Bang" itself, which he initially used in a derogatory manner. Hoyle made significant contributions to the understanding of stellar nucleosynthesis, explaining how elements are formed in stars.
In addition to his scientific achievements, Hoyle was also a prolific writer. He authored several popular science books and science fiction novels, including The Black Cloud and the Galactic Center series. His work has had a lasting impact on both science and literature, bridging the gap between the two fields.
