Frederic Ozanam
Frederic Ozanam was a French lawyer and social reformer born on April 23, 1813, in Milan, Italy. He is best known for founding the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in 1833, an organization dedicated to helping the poor and marginalized. Ozanam's work was inspired by his deep Catholic faith and a commitment to social justice.
Ozanam was also a prominent scholar, earning a reputation as a professor of literature at the University of Paris. He wrote extensively on social issues and the importance of charity, emphasizing the need for compassion in addressing societal problems. He passed away on September 8, 1853.
