Fred Brooks
Fred Brooks is a prominent computer scientist best known for his work in software engineering. He gained fame for his book, The Mythical Man-Month, which discusses the complexities of managing software projects and introduces the concept of "Brooks's Law," stating that adding manpower to a late software project makes it later.
Brooks was also the project manager for the development of the IBM System/360 and the OS/360 operating system. His contributions to computer science have earned him several awards, including the Turing Award, which is often regarded as the "Nobel Prize of Computing."
