Frank family
The Frank family is best known for their connection to Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who went into hiding during World War II to escape the Nazi persecution. They lived in Amsterdam, where Anne wrote her famous diary, detailing her experiences and thoughts while in hiding. The family consisted of Anne, her parents Otto and Edith, and her sister Margot.
The Franks were eventually discovered and arrested in 1944. Anne and Margot were later deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp and then to Bergen-Belsen, where they both tragically died. Otto Frank was the only family member to survive the Holocaust and later published Anne's diary, which has become a significant work in Holocaust literature.
