Francis de Sales
Francis de Sales was a French bishop and a prominent figure in the Catholic Church during the 17th century. Born on August 21, 1567, he is best known for his efforts in the Counter-Reformation, promoting Catholic teachings and spirituality. He became the Bishop of Geneva and worked tirelessly to convert Calvinists back to Catholicism.
He is also recognized for his writings, particularly the book "Introduction to the Devout Life," which offers guidance on living a spiritual life in everyday situations. Francis de Sales was canonized as a saint in 1665 and is the patron saint of writers and journalists.
