Francis I of Austria
Francis I of Austria was the first Emperor of Austria, reigning from 1804 until 1835. He was born on February 12, 1768, and was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. His reign marked the transition from the Holy Roman Empire to the Austrian Empire, following the dissolution of the former in 1806.
As a ruler, Francis I focused on consolidating his power and maintaining stability in his diverse empire. He was known for his conservative policies and opposition to revolutionary movements, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. His reign ended with his death on December 2, 1835.
