Francesco I d'Este
Francesco I d'Este was an Italian nobleman born on July 6, 1610, in Modena, Italy. He became the Duke of Modena and Reggio in 1629, following the death of his father, Alfonso III d'Este. Francesco was known for his efforts to strengthen the duchy and improve its economy during his reign.
Francesco I d'Este was also a patron of the arts and supported various cultural initiatives. He played a significant role in the development of Modena, promoting architecture and the construction of notable buildings, including the Ducal Palace. He passed away on February 14, 1658.
