Fox Spirits
Fox Spirits are mythical creatures found in various East Asian cultures, particularly in Chinese and Japanese folklore. They are often depicted as intelligent beings with the ability to shape-shift into human form, usually taking on the appearance of beautiful women. In Chinese mythology, these spirits are known as Huli Jing, while in Japanese folklore, they are referred to as Kitsune.
These spirits are associated with the Shinto deity Inari, who is the god of rice, agriculture, and fertility. Fox Spirits are believed to possess magical powers, including the ability to bring good fortune or mischief. Their dual nature reflects both benevolence and trickery, making them complex figures in folklore.
