Four-Wheel Steering
Four-wheel steering (4WS) is a technology that allows all four wheels of a vehicle to turn, enhancing maneuverability and stability. In traditional vehicles, only the front wheels steer, but with 4WS, the rear wheels can also pivot slightly. This feature helps improve cornering performance and reduces the turning radius, making it easier to navigate tight spaces.
The system can operate in two modes: at low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels, which helps with sharp turns. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, providing better stability during lane changes and high-speed driving.
