Four Children
"Four Children" is a term often used to describe the four archetypal characters found in the Jewish Passover Haggadah. These characters represent different attitudes towards the Passover story and its teachings. They include the Wise Child, who seeks knowledge; the Wicked Child, who questions the relevance of the tradition; the Simple Child, who asks basic questions; and the Child Who Does Not Know How to Ask, who needs guidance to engage with the story.
Each child symbolizes a unique perspective on learning and tradition, highlighting the importance of education and understanding within the Jewish community. The Haggadah encourages families to address each child's needs, fostering an inclusive environment during the Seder meal.
