Fountains of Wayne
Fountains of Wayne was an American rock band formed in 1995 in New York City. The group is best known for their catchy melodies and clever lyrics, often exploring themes of suburban life and relationships. Their most popular song, "Stacy's Mom," became a hit in 2003, showcasing their signature blend of power pop and alternative rock.
The band consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Schlesinger, lead guitarist Jody Porter, bassist and backing vocalist Chris Collingwood, and drummer Brian Young. Fountains of Wayne released several albums, earning critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base before disbanding in 2013. Schlesinger passed away in 2020, marking a significant loss for the music community.
