Foster Grandparents
The Foster Grandparents program connects older adults with children and youth in need of support. Volunteers, typically aged 55 and older, provide mentorship, companionship, and assistance in various settings, such as schools, daycare centers, and community organizations. This intergenerational program fosters meaningful relationships and enhances the lives of both the volunteers and the children they serve.
Participants in the Foster Grandparents program often help with homework, engage in recreational activities, and offer emotional support. The program not only benefits the youth by providing guidance and care but also helps the volunteers stay active and involved in their communities, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
