Forum Theatre
Forum Theatre is a form of interactive drama that encourages audience participation. It was developed by Brazilian theatre director Augusto Boal as part of his larger concept called the Theatre of the Oppressed. In this format, a play is performed, often depicting social issues or conflicts, and then the audience is invited to intervene and suggest changes to the story.
During the performance, spectators can stop the action and replace actors to explore different outcomes. This process allows participants to engage with the themes and consider various perspectives, fostering dialogue and critical thinking about real-life situations and challenges.
