Fort Lewis
Fort Lewis is a United States Army post located in Washington state, near the city of Tacoma. Established in 1917, it serves as a training and mobilization center for various military units. The base is known for its diverse training environments, including forests, mountains, and urban areas, which help prepare soldiers for different operational scenarios.
In 2010, Fort Lewis merged with McChord Air Force Base to form Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).
