Forrest Mars
Forrest Mars was an American businessman born on March 15, 1904, in Newport, Arkansas. He was the son of Frank C. Mars, the founder of Mars, Incorporated, a global confectionery and pet care company. Forrest played a crucial role in expanding the family business, particularly in developing popular candy products.
In 1941, Forrest Mars partnered with Bruce Murrie, the son of Hershey Chocolate's founder, to create the iconic M&M's candy. This collaboration led to the introduction of the colorful, candy-coated chocolates that became a staple in the candy industry. Mars passed away on July 1, 1999, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of sweets.
