Fornebu Airport
Fornebu Airport was the main airport serving Oslo, Norway from 1939 until it closed in 1998. Located on the Fornebu peninsula, it was known for its modern facilities and served as a hub for both domestic and international flights. The airport played a significant role in the development of air travel in Norway.
After its closure, the site was transformed into a business and residential area, with many of the original airport buildings repurposed. Today, Fornebu is home to various companies and recreational spaces, reflecting the area's shift from aviation to urban development.
