Footy (Football)
Footy, commonly known as football in many parts of the world, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team's net. Players primarily use their feet to control and pass the ball, but they can also use their heads and torsos. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end.
Football is governed by a set of rules called the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board. It is one of the most popular sports globally, with millions of fans and players. Major competitions include the FIFA World Cup and various domestic leagues, such as the English Premier League.
