Football Field
A football field is a rectangular area used for playing the sport of American football. It measures 100 yards long between the goal lines and 53.3 yards wide. Each end of the field has an end zone that extends 10 yards beyond the goal line, where teams score touchdowns. The field is marked with yard lines every five yards, and there are also hash marks to help with positioning.
The field is typically made of grass or artificial turf, providing a safe surface for players. At each end, there are goalposts that stand 10 feet high, with a crossbar 10 feet off the ground. The field is surrounded by sidelines and end lines, which define the boundaries of play.
