Florida Senators
Florida has two U.S. Senators who represent the state in the United States Congress. These Senators are elected to serve six-year terms and are responsible for making federal laws, approving budgets, and confirming presidential appointments. They also advocate for the interests of Florida residents at the national level.
As of October 2023, the current Senators from Florida are Marco Rubio and Rick Scott. Marco Rubio, a member of the Republican Party, has been in office since 2011, while Rick Scott was elected in 2018.
