Flight 447
Flight 447 was an international passenger flight operated by Air France that tragically crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on June 1, 2009. The flight was en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris and had 228 people on board, including passengers and crew members.
The aircraft, an Airbus A330, encountered severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms, during its flight. After losing contact with air traffic control, the plane went down, leading to one of the deadliest aviation disasters in history. Recovery efforts eventually located debris and the flight recorders, which provided insights into the causes of the accident.
