Flag of Luxembourg
The Flag of Luxembourg consists of three horizontal stripes in the colors blue, white, and red. The blue stripe is at the top, followed by a white stripe in the middle, and a red stripe at the bottom. The flag's design is similar to the Flag of the Netherlands, but the shades of blue and the proportions differ.
Adopted in 1972, the flag's colors are derived from the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The blue represents the sky, the white symbolizes peace, and the red stands for the blood shed for freedom.
