Flag of Belarus
The flag of Belarus features a horizontal red stripe at the top, a green stripe at the bottom, and a vertical white and red ornamented stripe on the left. The red symbolizes the blood shed for freedom, while the green represents the country's lush fields and forests. The ornamented stripe includes traditional Belarusian patterns, reflecting the nation's cultural heritage.
Adopted in 1995, the flag replaced an earlier version used during the period of independence from the Soviet Union. The design aims to represent the unity and identity of the Belarusian people while honoring their history and traditions.
