First-Degree Block
First-Degree Block is a type of heart block that affects the electrical signals in the heart. In this condition, the signals from the sinoatrial node to the atrioventricular node are delayed, but they still reach the ventricles. This results in a longer time interval between heartbeats, which can be seen on an electrocardiogram (ECG) as a prolonged PR interval.
Although First-Degree Block is often considered benign and may not cause symptoms, it can be a sign of underlying heart issues. Regular monitoring is important, especially if the individual has other heart conditions or experiences symptoms like dizziness or fatigue.
