First Peace of Thorn
The First Peace of Thorn was a treaty signed in 1411 between the Kingdom of Poland and the Teutonic Order, marking the end of the Polish-Teutonic War. This agreement aimed to resolve territorial disputes and establish a temporary peace in the region. The treaty was named after the town of Thorn (now Toruń, Poland), where the negotiations took place.
The treaty resulted in the return of some territories to Poland, while the Teutonic Order retained control over key areas. Although it brought a brief respite from conflict, tensions between the two powers continued, leading to further hostilities in the following years.
