First Base Coach
A First Base Coach is a member of a baseball team's coaching staff positioned near first base during a game. Their primary role is to guide and instruct players who are running to first base after hitting the ball. They use hand signals to communicate whether the player should continue running, stop, or prepare to advance to second base.
In addition to helping runners, the First Base Coach also plays a crucial role in observing the opposing team's defense. They watch for potential plays and relay important information to the players, helping to make strategic decisions during the game.
