Fighter Wings
Fighter wings are military units that consist of multiple fighter aircraft, typically organized for combat operations. Each wing usually includes several squadrons, which are smaller groups of aircraft and personnel. The primary role of a fighter wing is to provide air superiority, conduct air-to-air combat, and support ground forces through airstrikes.
In many air forces, such as the United States Air Force, a fighter wing is a key component of air power. These wings are equipped with advanced aircraft like the F-16 Fighting Falcon or F-22 Raptor, allowing them to engage in various missions, including reconnaissance and close air support.
