Field of View
The term "Field of View" (FOV) refers to the extent of the observable area that can be seen at any given moment. It is commonly used in various fields, including photography, video games, and virtual reality. A wider FOV allows for more of the environment to be seen, while a narrower FOV focuses on a smaller area.
In photography, FOV is influenced by the camera lens and sensor size. For example, a wide-angle lens provides a broader FOV, capturing more of the scene, while a telephoto lens has a narrower FOV, allowing for detailed shots of distant subjects.
