Fiat CR.42 Falco
The Fiat CR.42 Falco was a biplane fighter aircraft used by the Italian Air Force during the late 1930s and World War II. Designed by Fiat, it featured a classic biplane configuration with a robust structure and excellent maneuverability, making it effective in dogfights.
Powered by a Bristol Mercury radial engine, the CR.42 had a top speed of around 350 km/h (217 mph). It was primarily used in the Mediterranean theater and saw action in various conflicts, including the Spanish Civil War and the Italian Campaign, before being gradually replaced by more advanced aircraft.
