Ferrocyanides
Ferrocyanides are chemical compounds that contain the ferrocyanide ion, which consists of iron and cyanide ions. They are often found in the form of salts, such as potassium ferrocyanide, commonly known as yellow prussiate of potash. Ferrocyanides are used in various applications, including as a pigment in paints and as a food additive.
These compounds are generally considered to be low in toxicity compared to other cyanide compounds. Ferrocyanides can also play a role in the production of blue pigments, such as Prussian blue, which is used in art and printing.
