Ferdinand I of Antequera was a significant figure in the history of Spain, born in 1380. He became the King of Aragon in 1412 after a dynastic crisis, known as the Compromise of Caspe, which resolved a succession dispute. His reign marked the beginning of a period of stability and consolidation for the Crown of Aragon.
Ferdinand was also known for his efforts to strengthen the kingdom's political and economic structures. He played a crucial role in the unification of Aragon and Catalonia, and his marriage to Eleanor of Alburquerque helped solidify alliances. He passed away in 1416, leaving a lasting legacy.
