Fennecs
Fennecs, or Fennec foxes, are small nocturnal mammals native to the Sahara Desert in North Africa. They are easily recognized by their large ears, which help dissipate heat and enhance their hearing. Fennecs have a sandy coat that provides camouflage in their desert environment and allows them to thrive in extreme temperatures.
These foxes are well-adapted to their arid habitat, primarily feeding on insects, small rodents, and plants. Fennecs are social animals, often living in family groups, and they dig extensive burrows to escape the heat during the day. Their unique adaptations make them fascinating creatures of the desert.
