Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) was a country in Southeast Europe, formed in 1992 after the breakup of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It initially consisted of two republics: Serbia and Montenegro. The FRY was characterized by its complex political landscape and ethnic diversity, which often led to tensions and conflicts.
The FRY existed until 2003, when it was restructured into a state union called Serbia and Montenegro. This change was part of a broader process of political transformation in the region following the Yugoslav Wars. The FRY's legacy continues to influence the politics and relationships of the countries that emerged from the former Yugoslavia.
