Federal District Courts
Federal District Courts are the general trial courts of the United States federal court system. They handle a wide range of cases, including civil and criminal matters. Each state has at least one district court, and larger states may have several, allowing them to manage a high volume of cases.
These courts are where federal laws are interpreted and applied. Judges in Federal District Courts make decisions based on the law, and their rulings can be appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals. This structure helps ensure that legal issues are addressed fairly and consistently across the country.
