Feathertail Glider
The Feathertail Glider is a small marsupial native to eastern Australia. It is known for its unique feather-like tail, which helps it glide between trees. Weighing only about 10 grams, it is one of the smallest gliding mammals in the world. Its fur is soft and grayish-brown, providing excellent camouflage in its forest habitat.
These gliders primarily feed on nectar, fruits, and insects. They have large eyes that help them see well at night, as they are nocturnal creatures. The Feathertail Glider plays an important role in its ecosystem by pollinating flowers and dispersing seeds, contributing to the health of its environment.
