Faye Kellerman is an American author known for her work in the mystery and thriller genres. Born on July 30, 1952, she gained fame for her series featuring the character Peter Decker, a detective in the Los Angeles Police Department, and his wife, Rina Lazarus. Her novels often blend elements of police procedural with themes from Judaism and family life. Kellerman has published numerous bestsellers, with her first novel, The Ritual Bath, released in 1986. She has received several awards for her writing, including the Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine Readers Award. In addition to her fiction, she has also written young adult novels and collaborated with her husband, fellow author Jonathan Kellerman.
