Faster-than-light Travel
Faster-than-light travel refers to the hypothetical ability to move faster than the speed of light, which is approximately 299,792 kilometers per second. According to the theory of relativity proposed by Albert Einstein, nothing with mass can reach or exceed this speed. However, some theoretical concepts, like wormholes and warp drives, suggest ways to bypass this limitation.
Despite its popularity in science fiction, no experimental evidence currently supports faster-than-light travel. Scientists continue to explore the implications of quantum mechanics and string theory, but as of now, faster-than-light travel remains a speculative idea rather than a practical reality.
