Fascias
Fascias are connective tissues that surround and support muscles, organs, and other structures in the body. They are made up of collagen and elastin fibers, providing strength and flexibility. Fascias play a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of the body and facilitating movement by allowing muscles to glide smoothly over one another.
These tissues can be categorized into three types: superficial, deep, and visceral. Superficial fascias are located just beneath the skin, while deep fascias surround muscles and groups of muscles. Visceral fascias encase organs within cavities, helping to keep them in place and functioning properly.
