FSRUs
Floating Storage and Regasification Units, or FSRUs, are specialized ships designed to receive, store, and convert liquefied natural gas (LNG) back into its gaseous form. They play a crucial role in the LNG supply chain, allowing countries to import natural gas without the need for extensive onshore infrastructure.
FSRUs can be anchored near shore and connected to pipelines, making them a flexible and cost-effective solution for energy needs. They are particularly useful for regions with limited access to natural gas or where building traditional import terminals would be challenging or too expensive.
