FIRST
FIRST, which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is a global nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen. Its mission is to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through engaging programs and competitions.
One of the most well-known initiatives of FIRST is the FIRST Robotics Competition, where teams of students design, build, and program robots to compete in various challenges. This program encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation, helping students develop valuable skills for their future careers.
