FIFA Confederations Cup
The FIFA Confederations Cup was an international football tournament organized by FIFA. It featured national teams from different continents, serving as a prelude to the FIFA World Cup. The tournament typically took place every four years, with the host nation automatically qualifying for the event.
The competition included champions from each of the six continental confederations, along with the current World Cup holder. The last edition was held in 2017, after which FIFA decided to replace it with a new tournament called the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 preparation event.
